InterConnexions - A better future starts today

Through the InterConnexions campaign, WUSC is celebrating Canadians and people living in Canada who are taking everyday actions, big and small, to create change around the world. Individual contributions such as volunteering with local partners overseas or online, supporting the resettlement of refugees in Canada, or joining this campaign can have a big impact globally.

10,000 Volunteers

Since 1977 over 10,000 Canadian volunteers have travelled internationally with WUSC to work alongside our partners

1,000 Partners

Together, these volunteers have strengthened the capacity of over 1,000 partner organizations

18,375 Engaged

Last year, 306 actions were undertaken by Local Committee Members, who engaged 18,375 people in their activities.

Each year, Local Committees mobilize from coast to coast to coast, to sponsor refugee students, support their integration, and develop relationships across cultures and learn from each other.

Meet Quyen Dam, a long-time WUSC volunteer and e-volunteer from Saugeen Shores in Ontario. Since 2018, he has been taking on different volunteer opportunities with WUSC through WUSC’s Volunteer Cooperation Program (VCP).

While COVID-19 has heightened social pressures and increased inequalities around the world, it has shown us the importance of working together with our international partners and intensifying our efforts to address these challenges.
